The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing accounting, financial, and analytical support, focusing on monthly financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end activities.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial results for management.
- Assist with preparation of annual and quarterly financial reporting and analysis for management.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Assist in cash flow analysis and projections.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis on financial metrics.
- Assist with year-end activities including preparation of supporting documentation, analysis, and reconciliations.
- Responsible for Partner accounting and administration such as but not limited to preparing & maintaining Partners' bi-monthly pay distribution files, maintaining Partners' master data and supporting documents, and distributing Partners' tax slips and ACB slips, etc.
- Prepare and coordinate Partners' capital calls with the bank and accounting team and update related records, reconciliations and supporting documents.
- Calculate retired Partner / Counsel compensation and related analysis & reporting.
- Implement and maintain strong controls to ensure accurate modeling, analysis and reporting.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Identify opportunities for improved reporting, analytics and accounting processes.
- May perform other duties as assigned within the nature and level of the job.
Knowledge & Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in accounting / budgeting / forecasting / analytical & reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or MBA is required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and analysis.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Experience with building and maintaining financial models and charts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent self-management skills, prioritization, and project balancing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex data to stakeholders.
