Civil Engineering Graduate - Structural

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Gradate for our Bridges team based in Markham, Ontario.

This is a full time role expected to begin in January or May 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Conducts structural engineering designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
• Contributing to the writing, typing, editing, and / or formatting of technical letters and reports.
• Prepare and review of contract specifications including cost estimates and quantities.
• Undertake site inspection of structures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Must have completed or will be completing their Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• 1+ years of structural design experience working with Canadian codes and design standards.
• Familiarity with bridge components and design
• Experience designing in steel, concrete and wood
• Some experience with industry standard structural analysis and design softwares such as SAP2000, MIDAS, SAFE, ETABS and STAAD PRO
• Competent in MS Office
