Job Title : : Financial Controller
Location : Montreal (Hybrid)
Salary : Up to 110K depending on experience
Duration : 12 month contract

Responsibilities
The financial controller plays a key role in managing and monitoring the financial aspects of the company's activities. He is responsible for ensuring the reliability of financial information, analyzing performance, providing strategic recommendations to management and assisting them in their projects and requests for access to financial information, whether ad hoc or periodic.
He also ensures the implementation and achievement of corporate and operational objectives related to his department and is responsible for the establishment and application of related policies, procedures and performance indicators.
- Ensure the management of the accounting department staff composed of 2 analysts and 3 technicians
- Participate in the management committee and act as a financial advisor
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures and internal audits
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including consolidated statements
- Develop budgets, carry out follow-ups and optimizations
- Contribute to decision-making and make recommendations to improve practices
- Maintain an effective control structure to minimize business risks inherent in transactions and fraud
- Act as a reference and assist with all financial processes
- Coordinate IT needs with the IT department
- All other related tasks
Qualifications
- CPA designation, a considerable asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to take initiative
- Unlimited commitment to continuous improvement.
- Bilingual French and English, oral and written
- Strong work ethic and great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
