A career as a Senior Advisor in Third-Party Risk Management and Resilience at the National Bank involves supporting the implementation of risk management strategy.
You will have two key responsibilities : firstly, participating in the assessment of third-party risks related to IT and cybersecurity within operational contexts (excluding projects);
and secondly, evaluating the readiness levels of business continuity and disaster recovery plans within the IT and cybersecurity domains.
Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Technological Risk Management, Cyber, Data, Compliance, and Disclosure, your role within the team will involve :
Evaluating the overall business continuity strategy to restore critical bank processes and services in the event of a disaster.
Reviewing technological disaster recovery plans for critical systems and services, annual test results, and ensuring objectives (RTO, RPO) are met.
Assessing third-party risks to ensure contractual commitments and sound management of technological and cybersecurity risks are maintained throughout the contract life cycle with critical third parties.
Reviewing controls and resilience risk mitigation plans to assess residual risk.
Contributing to the assessment of risk posture affecting third-party management, technological service continuity, and business continuity, and determining residual risk as per established processes.
Participating in cross-functional mandates including updating risk registers, documenting risk universe, reporting, governance, and data management.
Building trust and fostering collaboration with business units in the first line of defense and other second-line departments to enhance the bank's technological risk and cybersecurity posture.

Prerequisites
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience in technology risk management and / or cybersecurity, preferably in the financial sector.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and synthesis skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Certification(s) such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or others in the field of technological risk management and cybersecurity will be considered an asset.
