This will be an exceptional opportunity to experience this transition.
The hiring company is not looking for a lot of experience - it is more someone with 1 to 2 years of experience who can process hourly payroll (up to 100+ employees) in a manufacturing setting.
This is working with a privately held automotive company that has been established for 40 years.
The main intersection is Warden and Highway 7 in Markham. It is accessible by transit and they provide free parking.
Advantages
- Salary will be in the range of 55K to 65K depending on your experience as it relates to the role and your status with the PCP program;
- This will be 100% on-site but there will be a lot of flexibility offered with your work hours - for example, 7 to 3 : 30 pm or 8 to 4 : 30 pm or 9 to 5 : 30 pm, etc.
- You will have a strong team that you will be working closely with. Reporting to the Controller but working closely with the HR Manager, HR Coordinator and HR Generalist;
- The company has an excellent RSP and DSP plan;

Responsibilities
Please note - I have a full job description to provide but these are the highlights of the role.
- Processing an hourly payroll for 300 employees in ADP;
- New hire set up, termination, data update etc;
- Processing salary payroll for 50 employees;
- Please note that they are working with Workforce;
- Back-up to accounts receivable - more data entry.
The Human Resources Manager describes this role to be more suited to a person with someone who has experience processing payroll in a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
- Payroll compliance practitioner designation - ideally enrolled in the program;
- 1 to 2 years of experience with payroll and benefits administration required for a company of 400 employees;
- Excel - VLOOKUP skills and basic experience with pivot tables.
