On-Going Financial Analyst Opportunities

Be an integral part of financial decision making by supporting various internal departments throughout the PHSA.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze financial information of projects, assisting with operational reviews, internal controls and business process improvements
  • Develop business cases, budgets, forecasts and benefits analysis to support project and operational decision making
  • Provide leadership in monitoring, assessing, interpreting, highlighting and reporting on financial and project / operational area performance
  • Gather information through research and analysis to build spreadsheets, tables, charts, graphs and reports to summarize information
  • Monitors and analyzes operational and financial information for the project’s operations.
  • Forecast results and creating reports for the Leadership Team
  • Builds partnerships with program managers and key stakeholders across internal programs and services, as well as across health care authorities

What you bring

  • A level of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Financial Analytics, or other related field
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • 2-4 years+ experience with project and operational financials
  • Strong knowledge of Excel as well as Financial Reporting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Superior analytical skills and strong presentation skills
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have : Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
