Reporting to the associate director of business planning and analytics (BP & A), this role works closely with the practice groups and business services teams to provide comprehensive analysis, reporting and insight to the NRFC management committee, regional / national practice group leaders, office managing partners, local practice team chairs and business services leadership.
You will be focusing on :
- Using data from all relevant sources to develop financial reporting, analysis and management tools to help practice heads and business services' leaders drive their decision making
- Assist in continuous improvement through dashboard development (Tableau, Power BI) to reduce manual processes and to enhance efficiency
- Prepare profitability analysis (matters, clients, partners, etc.)
- Prepare annual operating budgets, forecasts, projections, and long-term outlooks
- Monitor results compared to prior year, budget / forecast, and conduct in-depth analysis to identify risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with the managers to provide proactive financial analysis and decision support
- Participate in creating and implementing policies and procedures
- Maintain and assist in developing complex financial models to support scenario analysis, capital allocation, and resource optimization
- Provide decision support to management by conducting sensitivity analyses and presenting the potential impact of various business decisions
- Continuously review and enhance the forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Implement best practices and advanced analytical tools to streamline financial analysis and reporting
What you bring to the role :
- Professional accounting designation (preferred) together with 3+ years of experience in FP&A
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Strong technical ability to utilize analytical systems and tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Skills in programming languages such as Python, R, and / or SQL are a benefit
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to take initiative and work independently in a complex environment
- Establish effective working relationships with colleagues in other service areas and offices
- Self-starter attitude with willingness to learn and master new technologies
- Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the "big picture" in a complex business environment
- Experience manipulating large amounts of information to generate concise, strategic recommendations
- Ability to clearly and confidently communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences and interact with individuals throughout all levels of the organization
- Vancouver Salary : $74,928 - $121,758. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
