About the Company : Our client is one of the largest retailers in the construction and renovation industries across North America. With a diverse product portfolio and well-developed client relationships, they are known for their strong leadership, commitment to growth, and customer-centric approach.
Position Overview : The Senior Lumber Yard and Logistics Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the yard and logistics team.
This leadership role is perfect for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in an outdoor environment and has a passion for construction materials, logistics, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and support contractor and retail customers, ensuring exceptional service and assisting with product selection.
- Manage forklift operations after completing necessary training and certification.
- Supervise saw operations in the cut shop, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain the yard, cut shop, and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Oversee the unloading of transport trucks and the efficient loading and unloading of delivery drivers.
- Participate in Health & Safety Committee meetings and complete required training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
