REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been engaged to recruit a Regional Development Manager for Western Canada ideally based in Calgary.

Are you open to traveling within Canada to oversee and support field development initiatives?

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Regional Development Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing Product and Market Development, Field Efficacy, and Field Regulatory initiatives. This position ensures regional projects are strategically aligned with global priorities, executed according to established protocols, and contribute to the advancement and registration of top-tier products. The manager also leads a team of field development representatives, fostering collaboration across departments to drive agronomic innovation and meet broader business objectives.

Additionally, the role provides vital technical and developmental support to marketing and sales teams. This includes facilitating demonstration trials, managing Research Authorization studies, supporting new product introductions, and contributing to marketing communications efforts such as information bulletins, webinars, and presentations.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?

  • A Master’s degree (MSc) is preferred, ideally supported by 7–10 years of experience in evaluating crop protection products and cropping systems, particularly within western Canada.
  • Deep technical knowledge and practical insight into Canadian agricultural production systems is essential. Background in product development and regulatory processes is a strong asset.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and excellent communication skills, including experience in public speaking and delivering technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, with excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Solid understanding of trial design, data collection protocols, research methodologies, and data interpretation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Agricultural Research Manager (ARM) software.
  • A genuine passion for agriculture and a strong belief in the value of technology to drive industry innovation.
