Utilize CDK software to maintain financial records and reporting Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial reports. Collaborate with department managers to provide financial insights that support business decisions. Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Oversee bank reconciliations, floorplan management, and cash flow monitoring. Ensure timely and accurate submission of government filings, payroll remittances, and HST / GST returns. We are seeking an experienced and professional Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Senior Finance or a similar role. Dealership / automotive experience would be an asset. This individual is passionate, professional, has a positive attitude, and shares our obsession with Finance. This role requires working in the office 5 days / week.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership.
- Familiarity with OEM financial reporting requirements and manufacturer incentive programs.
- Proficiency in CDK software for accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use basic formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, and conditional formatting
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Accounting diploma or degree is a must
- CPA designation or equivalent accounting certification is preferred.
