We provide a broad range of services and solutions including mechanical dewatering, both in mobile and fixed facility applications, dredging, lagoon cleaning, digester cleaning, tank cleaning, solids transportation and solids disposal, whether for landfill or for beneficial reuse.
APG is seeking a Senior Estimator to join a team of dynamic professionals to carry out large-scale service projects. This is an opportunity for the right person to demonstrate their LEADERSHIP.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that all your tasks are conducted with DILIGENCE and in a TIMELY MANNER. Responsibilities Your new responsibilities : Perform estimates using APG’s custom’s estimating tool (Excel Based) Analyze tender documents and prepare bids & RFP’s;
- Review specifications for take-offs and quantity calculations; Conduct site visits during the bidding period; Research and evaluate project costs;
- Request and follow up on quotes from subcontractors and / or suppliers; Analyze and compare received quotes; Prepare preliminary work schedules;
Periodically assist project managers / directors in estimating additional work or any other related estimation tasks; Participate in internal kick-off meetings to share relevant information about the specifications to ensure the project's smooth progression and profitability.
- Qualifications You have strong qualifications : Ten years and over of experience in a similar position; Technical training in engineering technology or engineering;
- A valid driver's license; Availability to periodically travel to sites in Canada and USA (Approx. 20%-30% travel); Proficiency in estimating software an asset;
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with advance knowledge of Excel; Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) (French language an asset).
