This firm has been providing topnotch legalservices to British Columbia businesses for 20 years and theyrequire an experienced Financial Accountant and Manager who has lawfirm experience to lead the organization into the future takingover from the current Accountant and Manager who isretiring.
The Role
As the Firm Accountant / Manager you will be thefinancial backbone of the firm ensuring that financial strategiesalign with the vision for growth.
You will play a pivotal role inmanaging and optimizing all financial aspects of the firm whilefostering a collaborative and efficient financialteam.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee FinancialOperations : Responsible for fullcycle accountingincluding overseeing invoicing accounts payable / receivable andpreparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statementsensuring accuracy and adherence topolicies.
- Oversee and ReconcileAccounts : Oversee and reconcile general and trustaccounts liaise with financial institutions and ensure compliancewith trust accounting rules.
- Budgeting andForecasting : Develop comprehensive budgets trackfinancial performance and provide strategic financial forecasts tosupport decisionmaking.
- Financial ysis : Conduct indepth financial ysis to identify areas for costoptimization revenue enhancement and processimprovement.
- Compliance andReporting : Ensure compliance with financialregulations and legal requirements and prepare financial reportsfor partners and external stakeholders.
- TechnologyCoordination : Coordinate IT support for firm andaccounting systems.
- HR Coordination : In coordination with other administration staff manage hiringonboarding training new employees benefits administration andpayroll.
- Team Leadership : Lead and inspire the financial team fostering a collaborative andresultsdriven culture and mentor junior members of the accountingand management team.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree / diploma inaccounting
- CPAdesignation
- Minimum45 years’ experience in a professionaloffice
- Proficiencywith computer software including PC Law Worldox Microsoft Officeand Adobe
- Excellentorganizational ss
- Exceptional attention todetail
- Ability tohandle sensitive information
- Strong oral and written communicationss
- Ability to workindependently and as part of a team in theoffice
Benefits
Salary Range : $100000 $150000 with additionalbenefits and compensation perks
