Job description

We are currently recruiting a permanent Regional Accounting Manager for our Burnaby based manufacturing client.

As the Regional Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of our operations within a designated region. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions and managing a team of four accountants.

Responsibilities :

Lead and supervise a team of four designated accountants in the region.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with IFRS.

Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Provide guidance and support to local finance teams on technical accounting matters and financial analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.

Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of audit findings.

The Successful Candidate :

Designated CPA.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.

6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing sector.

Strong experience with financial reporting under IFRS.

Previous experience managing a team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
