The Director of Food & Beverage shapes an exceptional guest experience through expert oversight of all dining operations.
This role is central to upholding our renowned standards, overseeing everything from budgeting to team leadership, and ensuring each service detail aligns with our reputation for excellence.
The Director combines strategic vision with hands-on management to consistently exceed guest expectations and enhance Langdon Hall’s celebrated dining legacy.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Food & Beverage sets strategic goals for service, menu innovation, and guest engagement. They stay current with industry trends, guest preferences, and operational efficiencies to keep Langdon Hall a top dining destination.
Collaboration with other leaders ensures alignment with the property’s goals and brand promise.
Creating unique, memorable guest experiences is also essential. Every aspect from presentation to team demeanor reflects Langdon Hall’s commitment to excellence.
The Director of Food & Beverage collaborates with the kitchen to add a personal touch to each meal, elevating every guest’s visit.
Financial expertise is critical. This position manages budgets, balancing costs and profitability. Responsibilities include analyzing financial reports, monitoring spending, and reducing waste without compromising quality.
Closely working with the finance team ensures the food and beverage operations are sustainable and contribute to Langdon Hall’s financial health.
At the core of this role is hospitality. They lead by example, creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required
- Minimum 7 years in a food and beverage management role, with 4+ years in a similar position
- Thorough knowledge of five-diamond dining service procedures and functions
- Excellent knowledge of food and wine pairing
- In depth food and preparation knowledge
- Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills
- Ability to be accurate, concise, detail oriented and make independent decisions
