Our client, a global leader in automotive components and engineering services with over 30 years of industry experience, is seeking an HR Manager to spearhead HR initiatives across their two major facilities.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving Organizational planning and development, Talent management, Employee Compensation and benefits, Health and safety programs, as well as Employee Relations and Training.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance to ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
- Oversee Talent Management functions, including but not limited to Recruitment, Onboarding, Succession Planning, Employee Development, Performance Management, Recognition, and Retention.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and adherence to company policies.
- Develop and interpret Employee Policies and Guidelines.
- Responsible for overseeing and executing of Employee agreements and contracts.
- Provide support for Employee Relations by managing Internal dispute resolution, Disciplinary actions, Counseling, Exit interviews, and Analysis.
- Develop and implement Compensation strategies, including conducting labor market analyses and wage / benefit surveys.
- Participate in Strategic and operational discussions as part of the leadership team.
- Develop and maintain Safety programs and policies, leading Health and Safety initiatives.
Skills and Requirements :
- 6+ years of HR experience in a growing manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree with an HR designation (CHRP, CHRL) is essential.
- Proven experience in the implementation and management of Health and Safety programs.
- Strong working knowledge of Provincial and Federal employment law.
- Ability to analyze and interpret human resources data using HRIS (Workday).
- Skilled in planning and implementing Employment-related changes, including benefits, wages, bonuses, and policies.
- Experience with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies, including 5S activities, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze HR data effectively.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S) is an asset.
