The incumbent will work will be engaged on a casual and as-needed basis to conduct direct delivery training on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross Society according to the current First Aid National Program Standards.
In this role, you will :
Responsibility 1 : Course Delivery
- Delivers direct training on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross Society to transition Instructors and Instructor Trainers according to their current leadership qualifications.
- Maintains current knowledge of First Aid National Program Standards and ensures courses meet requirements.
- Evaluates course participants according to evaluation criteria established by the Canadian Red Cross Society.
- Uses Canadian Red Cross Society tools and resources as available on Red Cross systems.
Responsibility 2 : Record-Keeping
- Ensures all course participant records are updated and participants are completed in the course management system immediately after the course.
- Ensures all course documents are completed and uploaded to participant records where applicable.
- Ensure participants are provided course evaluation forms.
- Ensures all personal expenses are documented and submitted to the Canadian Red Cross Society.
- Ensures timecards are completed and submitted to the Canadian Red Cross Society.
Responsibility 3 : Quality-Assurance
- Identifies any quality assurance issues and concerns and brings them to the attention of the Coordinator or Account Manager within 5 days following a course.
- Maintains quality assurance by evaluating course participants according to the current evaluation criteria.
- Integrates volunteer resources within the scope of responsibilities, as required.
- Contributes to a healthy and safe working environment.
- Performs other duties, as required.
What we are looking for :
- Completion and current certification as a Canadian Red Cross Instructor Trainer in a specific discipline (Psychological First Aid, Professional Responder, Wilderness and / or First Aid).
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to influence others.
- Strong customer service skills.
