Skills and Responsibilities :

• Participates in functional demos utilizing new tech; designs own control structures Understands how to find and reuse patterns and platforms in the Manulife ecosystem and the broader community.
• Experience with technologies such as : React, React Native, Node, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, Python, Scala or Java.
• Good API skills : Express / Node, Graph / Relay, Flask, Jersey, Java Spring REST or WebApi2). Collaborative approach working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Good verbal and written communication effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes. Paired programming experience is a plus
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, other engineers, and product owners to uncover pain points and opportunities to deliver new business value through software.
• Prototype and build new functionality to deliver on key product objectives.
• Design and deliver cloud-native services and data structures that enable an exceptional user experience.
• Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain & improve business applications; apply creatively. Problem solving to bring designs to life using cutting edge technologies & techniques.
• Maintain and support these services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality.
• Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions. Promote agile principles and methodology, follow various engineering practices and approaches
• Builds, codes, tests, maintain high quality software. Promotes agile principles and methodology. Translates user requirements into software requirements.
• Designs, develops, tests, delivers, maintains and improves business applications as a member of a team, works across full stack through entire software development lifecycle.
• It has a positive impact on specific organizational entities & has some understanding of the nature of the impact. Designs, codes, unit tests and integrate new features and functionality as defined by the Product Owner and team.
• I participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions. Knowledge of and adherence to risk and security standards.
• Assists in the development of automated test harnesses as necessary to ensure delivery of high-quality code.
• Completion of any required documentation required e.g. deployment, maintenance, support and business needs.
