Procurement Specialist, Electrical

As Procurement Specialist, Electrical you will :

• Support our large electrical construction projects across Canada
• Manage all aspects of the procurement process for purchase requests to invoice payment (Procure to Pay)
• RFx development and preparation with defined commercial conditions
• Solicitation and analysis of proposals and negotiation of pricing, delivery terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for highly complex projects
• Provide monthly reports on order commitments and back-orders
• Coordinate with general foreman, logistics coordinators and vendors to ensure material is delivered properly and on time
• Monitor performance of vendors to ensure minimal back orders and on-time delivery
• Identify and resolve and follow up on any discrepancies between involved parties
• Manages supplier commitments after purchase order is issued, including change order management
• Receive and reconcile daily invoice reports from various suppliers, match pricing and material cost
• Resolve invoice issues with vendors and internal stakeholders

Our ideal candidate has :

• A degree / diploma from a University or College Program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Business Administration or relevant educational background
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of or exposure to ERP systems such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, an asset
• The ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, can proactively multi-task and manage multiple priorities and requests
