MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Mechanical Designer in Calgary, AB. Our client is an Alberta based mechanical engineering firm, specializing in institutional, recreational, commercial, and health-care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls, perform system design calculations, and select equipment.
- Liaise with project stakeholders such as owners and other design professionals, coordinate mechanical system requirements with other disciplines, and prepare contract drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD software.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to review construction progress, develop feasibility studies, and author technical reports;
assist others in the office with multiple projects to support a team atmosphere.
Perform fundamental design tasks, conduct QA / QC reviews, and communicate with the design and production team, both internally and externally, with guidance from more experienced colleagues.
Requirements
- 2-3 years minimum of Relevant Mechanical Eng experience
- Willingness to work in office
- High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
