The Project :
To be a respected senior leader working within the cost and commercial management centre of excellence (CoE) community. The role will be the interface between the CoE and the Americas leadership overseeing the growth of the Mace business across United States, Canada and LATAM.
The candidate will combine this accountability with working on assignments and will be supported by cost and commercial management sponsors within the respective Americas market.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :
Lead the development of the Mace cost and commercial management discipline across the Americas market building on the unprecedented growth of Mace consult in the last ten years globally.
Build an Americas presence in the regions and mature the cost and commercial management offering embedding the following services while aligning to specific governance and regional requirements :
Estimating
Commercial strategy
Commercial management
Pre-contract cost consultancy
Market shaping and supply chain intelligence
Strategic procurement and contract formation services
Strategic and major programmes cost and contracts management services
Assurance
Post-contract procurement, cost and contract management
Dispute resolution
Whole life cost and carbon
Identify and scope regional hub CoE requirements and lead the delivery of the CoE plan for the hub (as agreed with CoE lead).
Sit on hub board and manage relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external) across the regional hub.
Lead, deploy and ensure adherence to the Mace way standards and processes across the regional hub maturing the Americas requirements.
Assure the quality of the services we are providing across the Americas, redefining our standards and processes through an audit regime across the specific regions.
Build a regional community to feed into the hub and consult centre of excellence, bringing the community together to learn, connect and capture feedback and lessons learnt.
Keep up to date with innovations in the service line, competitor and partner activity, feeding back to the CoE.
Identify, coach and mentor talent, supporting professional development and global mobility.
Build capability across the Americas, assuring quality of training provision and as appropriate deliver training programmes.
Identify leads and opportunities, supporting the Americas in winning work and bidding.
Involvement in consult CoE activities and service development, mobilising regional volunteers.
You’ll Need to Have :
MBA or bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, project management (or PMP), engineering or a related field.
In depth knowledge of cost and commercial management procedures.
Awareness of contract and commercial procedures and business P&L.
Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentational) skills, alongside the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful insights.
You’ll Also Have :
Commercial and financial acumen.
Experience of managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Advisory mentality and able to manage complex governance arrangement.
Mastery in delivery of relevant service.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Up to date on key tools available in the market in the service delivery arena.
Achieved membership / fellow / certified fellow status with one or more professional institutions.
Demonstratable experience leading a cost and commercial management function previously.
Held a key strategic role in a major project or program.
Experience across a number of markets sectors within Infrastructure and property.
Up to date on key digital tools available in the market and current innovative trends in the service delivery arena.
External networking, collaboration and business development skills. May represent Mace on professional institution / industry wide committees / boards.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
