The Opportunity :

We are looking for a Director, Correspondent Sales and Relationship Management to join the Correspondent & Institutional team.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Correspondent & Institutional, the Director, Correspondent Sales and Relationship Management will be responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on driving growth and delivering exceptional partner experience.

You will be responsible for meeting sales goals and profit targets in alignment with the division’s business plan.

What your day looks like :

  • Collaborate with senior management and other key stakeholders to define sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and assist in development approaches to expand the client base
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with prospects to grow new business opportunities
  • Manage and support a team that is focused on value added solutions and reporting that not only meet but exceed our partners’ expectations
  • Delegate effectively and prudently ensuring all skills and resources are leveraged to the best capacity and provide opportunity for learning and career growth
  • Ensure the team has the appropriate tools for prompt and thorough resolutions of customer issues as well as proactively offering reporting and opportunities for our partners
  • Support marketing efforts through attendance at trade shows, industry events, as well as maintains and expands industry and product knowledge to be relevant and beneficial to clients
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to optimize sales and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals and ensure seamless execution
  • Works closely with the Senior Vice President, Correspondent & Institutional to develop revenue growth forecasts and budgets

Requirements

Your experience and skills :

  • University Degree preferred
  • 10-15 years in a sales role with financial and brokerage industry knowledge
  • Completion of CSC and CPH
  • Correspondent and Institutional experience dealing with Portfolio Management firms, CIRO & MFDA firms plus other Institutional firms in Canada and the US
  • Proven relationship management and focus on value added customer service
  • Proven experience in sales prospecting and lead development
  • Demonstrated success in directly leading a high-performing sales team
  • Experience with establishing KPI’s to ensure SLA’s are not only met but exceeded
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present information to different audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships both externally and internally
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills with the insight to proactively provide solutions to our Correspondent partners
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to coordinate multiple projects / events simultaneously
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $124,000 - $158,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
