Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Program Support Manager(s), Rehabilitation Services (or designate), and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.
- Boniface General Hospital, the Receptionist II is responsible for performing receptionist duties for Rehabilitation Services Department (Communication Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy);
- scheduling patient appointments; pre-registering patients and maintaining related information; providing general office support;
and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
One (1) year related experience in a patient care setting.
Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)
Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.

Qualifications and Skills
- Keyboarding speed : 45 wpm.
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of common software including : Word processing and email applications.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
- Demonstrated ability to interact well with others and work effectively in a team environment.
- Respectful and courteous telephone manner.
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a stressful environment that may include aggressive and / or agitated individuals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
