This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain.
We help our customers compete in the global market and efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading, consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions.
CASC NA business reaches across Canada, United States & Mexico with an expansive asset footprint including over 200 grain elevators, export / import facilities, oilseed crush plants, biodiesel facilities, and farm service centers.

Principal Accountabilities
- Perform predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance on facility assets
- Complete scheduled quantitative preventative maintenance inspections on critical equipment
- Documenting all completed work and the conditions found; utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Work independently and / or cooperatively with personnel of various departments to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, control and process systems problems
- Complete installation of new equipment
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Possess an Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician trade certification
- Industrial experience with HMI and PLC Systems
- Knowledge of motor control and troubleshooting
- Experience with variable frequency drives and various type of sensors
- Basic computers use and typing skills
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be willing to work from heights, in confined spaces, and other industrial conditions
Preferred Qualifications :
- Working experience with Modicon 984 and Quantum PLCs
- Power distribution (600V, and 69kV) equipment installation and operation
- Programming experience with ladder logic, function block, and structured text
- Experience with PROFIBUS, MODBUS and MODBUS+, Ethernet, fiber optic and industrial wireless communications installations and troubleshooting
- Knowledge and training in workplace electrical safety standards and arc flash hazards
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends or different shifts
