Our client in the financial services industry sector is currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support them for a 3-month contract with a potential to become a permanent full-time job.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, FP& A, your responsibilities will include :
- Develop complex financial models to support management decision-making and assist in the preparation of budgets / forecasts
- Perform complex and in-depth monthly variance analysis to help in executive decision-making
- Prepare monthly Reporting Package for internal and external stakeholders
- Review monthly Administration Expense reports and distribute to department leader
- Partner with leaders across the organization to understand drivers of variances and the impacts on the business
- Collaborate with senior leaders of the organization to develop the annual budget, forecasts, and other ad hoc projects
- Support the team in preparing management material for both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain an environment of continuous improvement by strengthening, modifying, or eliminating current processes to increase efficiency and strengthen controls
- Perform ad hoc work as requested by management and external stakeholders
Job Requirements :
To be considered for this opportunity, you are a Senior Financial Analyst with a CPA or CFA designation with 5+ years of progressive financial planning & analysis work experience.
In addition to the above, the following skills and experience are also desired :
- Strong FP& A and complex financial modeling experience
- Solid forecasting and variance analysis experience
- High standards of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail
- Proven analytical thinker and creative problem solver with an outside the box mindset with a fast-paced business environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization and in all areas of the business, including non-finance individuals
- Comfortable presenting to functional teams, management and executives
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to work with limited direction across multiple functions and can understand key trends and link strategy to the underlying drivers and impacts of the business
- Highly organized, ability to multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to work in a high pressure and deadline driven environment
- Advanced Excel skills and Adaptive Planning / Power BI skills would be an asset
