The Enterprise Solutions Architect plays a critical role in shaping our organization's technology and business strategies.
This role will identify and deliver solutions that address complex technology and business challenges to support Coast Capital Savings (CCS) short- and long-term goals and objectives which can influence the business direction;
solutions will range from business lines to enterprise-wide implementations with a focus on novel and / or complex data systems.
What you’ll get to do :
Develop comprehensive solution architecture plans and designs that align with business goals and improve current systems.
Develop architectural approaches, and lead solution architecture design sessions with both business and technical teams.
Document and appropriately articulate and curate solution designs to business and technical stakeholders. Ensure all proposed solutions comply with regulatory, enterprise architecture and data management standards to minimize risk exposure.
- Understand business drivers and business capabilities (current and future state) and determine corresponding enterprise solution design and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business and SMEs to develop short and long-term solution strategies and evaluate existing technology environments to identify and address critical deficiencies.
Develop and propose technical architectural standards, patterns and frameworks and recommend new technologies to improve current systems.
Assess how architectural decisions affect business operations.
Facilitate conversations with stakeholders, serving as a liaison between technical teams and business units. Manage expectations appropriately to guide stakeholders towards optimal solutions.
Translate technical concepts into understandable language to build consensus among non-technical stakeholders. Be the key resource to manage conflicting requirements between those stakeholders to a resolution acceptable to all stakeholders.
Guide and mentor technical teams, leading the establishment of best practices in architectural design and frameworks. Oversee the solution implementation of project delivery, ensuring they align with business goals.
Promote new technologies and innovation and serve as the technical authority during critical project decisions.
- Participate in solution governance as member of Solution Architecture Review Committee (SARC) when required.
- As part of the solution architecture process, conduct technical risk and vulnerability assessments to identify operational, financial, security, brand, industry, and regulatory (OSFI, FINTRAC, CASL) risks.
propose risk mitigation strategies and be part of decision-making process to mitigate those risks.
With a focus on information management, design and implement enterprise integrated solutions to ensure seamless data flow across diverse platforms and applications.
Evaluate and integrate new systems into the existing ecosystem, in alignment to blueprints and architecture standards. Optimize system performance through continuous enhancements and assist technical teams to troubleshoot any arising operational issues.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 7 - 9 years of experience. Experience designing solutions in Financial / Banking sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Experience in cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience in core banking platforms, digital banking platforms, open banking standards.
- Extensive knowledge of software architecture, application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge of information architecture principles, patterns and modelling techniques.
- Experience in designing data models using data architecture patterns, views (e.g., Data Lifecycle, Data Dissemination, Data Security) & tools (e.g., Erwin).
- Experience analyzing and translating business requirements into long-term solutions that rely heavily on defining new data models that support novel business initiatives and / or regulatory obligations
- Experience evaluating existing data systems for fitness.
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure design practices is an asset.
- Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Knowledge of various project delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, SAFe.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams and stakeholders, and able to translate complex needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey business requirements into sustainable solutions.
