Digital Marketing Coordinator

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team based in Birmingham.

You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role.

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

As Digital Marketing Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role to support the Associate Director of Communications and wider digital team in the execution of the digital marketing strategy including implementing and managing PPC, social media, email marketing and Human Appeal’s website development and content, all with a view to meet our audiences’ needs and therefore increase reach, to acquire and retain donors and ultimately maximise income and support for Human Appeal in the US.

We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Coordinator :

  • Implement Human Appeal’s digital marketing strategy across digital channels in the US
  • Maximise income generation, increasing digital marketing ROI year on year
  • Contribute to the development of Human Appeal campaigns to maximise donor reach, interaction, conversion, engagement and retention by utilising the full digital marketing mix
  • Development and content management of Human Appeal website, improving UX across website to improve conversion

What we’re looking for in our Digital Marketing Coordinator :

  • Degree-educated in a relevant field ., Digital Marketing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing is essential
  • Experience working at an NGO is desirable
  • Experience working in e-commerce is desirable
  • MS Office Suite
  • Analytical programmes such as Google Analytics (GA) and Google Adwords is essential
  • Social media monitoring and listening tools such as either Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Buzzsumo or Klout is essential
  • Experience in website management and maintenance and Content Management Systems (CMS) is desirable
  • Photoshop or any design programme is desirable
  • Email marketing platforms, including Mailchimp, is desirable
