Executive Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in overseeing and managing the culinary operations of The Post, ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and create innovative menu offerings.
- Oversee and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of performance.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to meet restaurant requirements.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Participate in menu development, tastings, and special culinary events.
- Assist in developing and implementing kitchen policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
- Contribute to cost control measures and budget management.
- Create and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Step in for the Executive Chef in their absence, overseeing all kitchen operations.
