Responsibilities

• Maintaining equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
• Executing preventative maintenance schedules
• Performing equipment repairs as needed
• Installing new equipment and systems
• Improving the operation efficiency of production equipment and central services
• Diagnosing / Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and optimizing running settings
• Interacting daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs
• Working with other departments on process improvement activities
• Recommending changes and / or improvements to plant equipment / facilities / procedures
• Working with outside contractors and other trades
• Operating and changing over equipment as required
• Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
• Keeping work area orderly and clean
• Other tasks as directed by Maintenance lead hands and / or Supervisors
• Working collaboratively with team members

Qualifications

• Must exhibit a safety-first mindset
• Must hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license with a certificate of Qualification
• Experience in the beverage / food / packaged goods industry preferred
• Must be skilled in use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
• Must be able to lift / carry 50-85 lbs
• Must be able to push / pull up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
• Must be able to work on computers and iPads
• OT is readily available
• Flexibility required regarding shifts; notice provided if a shift change is necessary
• Must be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required
