Electrical Controls Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and contribute to the creation of leading solutions in the industry.

What you’ll be doing in the role :
- Lead and participate in the successful execution of project design, layout, and engineering
- Develop and approve of engineering design documents, reports, and drawings
- Define, monitor, and adjust project scope of work
- Support the team during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all electrical designs and implementations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
- Attend customer sites for project reviews, commissioning, etc.
What you bring to the role :
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- A valid P. Eng license in Ontario is strongly preferred.
- PMP designation is an asset
- Minimum 7 years’ post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering design, commissioning, etc.
- Experience with industrial and commercial projects including material handling, conveyor, and warehousing solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectively
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills, a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Quotation experience is required
- Strong computer skills including MS Office suite, AutoCAD (advanced level), Accubid, Spectrum, etc.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
- Ability to travel to various project sites throughout the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. Occasional travel to other areas of Canada and / or the US may be required.
