On behalf of our client Procom is seeking a Production Supply & Logistics Analyst for a 12 month contract in Calgary Alberta.
Production Supply & Logistics Analyst Job Details
The Production Supply & Logistics Analyst position is a customer service operations role based in Calgary with primary responsibilities for volumetric supply and forecasting of crude oil and diluent transported within the system, business systems, industry and internal reporting.
This role is one of the primary contact / liaison positions for shippers / customers, pipeline connected facility operators, Midstream field personnel and internal business stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Model and track the flow of all physical fluid movements and manage the contractual transactions through HMGP’s gathering systems and terminals to meet all customer and supply availability requirements.
- Manage and report on all Midstream pipelines and terminals shipper positions to ensure balances and contracts are met.
- Generate month-end volumetric accounting reports for all shippers / all products.
- Quarterly volumetric reforecast, budget, and long-range plan.
- Manage system capacity and tools for restriction, curtailment, or apportionment activities.
- Forecast / reconcile system balancing.
- Administrate and update the customer QuickConnect portal.
- Liaison between shippers, pipeline connected facility operators, Husky Midstream field operations as required to manage throughput, shipper and connected facility nominations, issues impacting the system.
- Develop analytics, contingency / strategy plans, participate in resolution and problem solving employing an ability to react quickly and efficiently to pipeline sensitivity due to all operational issues (Husky Midstream pipelines, connected carriers and trunklines).
- Manage volumetric forecast and resolve nomination issues (daily, Forms A / C, quarterly and budget).
- Develop, operate, manage, and maintain integrity of applications / workbooks.
- Reporting and audit for Petroleum Registry, Internal Controls, EPAP.
- Subject matter expert, administrator, and business tester for Integrated Pipeline System (IPS).
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Customer communications (written & verbal) as required.
- Weekend / after core business hours availability (issue and deadline driven).

Production Supply & Logistics Analyst Qualifications
Required :
- Post-secondary Business / Economics Degree / Certificate or 2+ years related experience.
- 2 to 4 years crude oil or relative industry experience.
- Advanced Excel level.
Asset :
- Oil blending or relative industry experience.
- Crude oil logistics and forecasting.
- Knowledge of pipeline systems operations and inventory management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Industry reporting and procedures (Petroleum Registry, COLC, Petrinex).
