Why is this role important?
The Specialized Care Data Management team is responsible for maintaining and releasing a series of reporting and analytical products.
The analyst will be a key player within an interdisciplinary team supporting data processing, system maintenance and dissemination of information for home care, long-term care, mental health and inpatient rehabilitation.
What you'll do
1. Develops and maintains a detailed knowledge of the Specialized Care reporting tools and databases and a working knowledge of other key data sources that shed light on specialized care products and services.
2. Supports the development of and / or maintains up-to-date and comprehensive technical documentation on data quality and reporting products (e.
g. Quick Stats, Your Health System, eReports).
3. Participates in data load activities and contributes to development and delivery of data releases, products and services.
4. Conducts analyses for data requests and capacity building activities.
5. Participates in the development, documentation and testing of new data collection and reporting modules.
6. Assists in the ongoing development and testing of analytical and client support products including interpreting and documenting results.
What you'll bring to the table
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Epidemiology, Health Information, Statistics, Social Sciences, Health / Business Administration).
- 1 3 years’ experience in data collection, data quality, analysis, report development and / or dissemination of research.
- Experience with manipulation and statistical software, such as Python, R, SAS or other statistical software is essential.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
