Human Resources Advisor

Responsibilities
- Owns recruitment district wide, developing a recruitment strategy and plan, utilizing appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies to position company as a great place to work.
- Stays informed of trends and innovative sourcing strategies and platforms, recruiting techniques and trends to attract and compete for top talent.
- Generates a proactive approach to improving the quality of candidates and increasing the diversity of the candidate pool in support of the company’s DE&I efforts.
- Leads and advises client group(s) on HR programs, policies, and practices.
- Guides and coach’s supervisors on employee relations issues, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement activities and workforce planning
- Develops and maintaining strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders within the district.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years full-life cycle recruitment / talent acquisition / human resources experience in a progressive, fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience in developing effective candidate experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) is an asset.
- Current knowledge of talent acquisition best practices and demonstrated experience in utilization of key social recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
- Ability to navigate large organizations and identify stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and knowing that there is more than one way to tackle recruiting challenges.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of HR-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Ability to deal with people and act tactfully and diplomatically with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present ideas and content that influences a favorable outcome.
- Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
- Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
