Position Summary
Reporting to the DCC Head Customer Service Representative, the Customer Service Representative will provide high quality front-line service to customers in a friendly and welcoming manner that provides a sense of belonging for all individuals and groups coming into the facility.
Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to :
- Welcome and provide exceptional customer service to patrons.
- Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate services
- Answer phones, emails, and provide accurate information for all inquiries.
- Receive admission fees, retail sales, balance cash at the end of shift and prepare deposits.
- Complete registration process for memberships, courses, and fitness services.
- Sell event tickets to customers in person or by phone using TicketPro software.
- Record admissions to DCC programs and drop-in services.
- Work box office for Shell Theatre events and sell and reconcile merchandise.
- Provide facility tours when requested.
Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma is required. Candidates must have excellent customer service, cash handling, and computers skills, with knowledge of programs and services provided by the city.
Intelli Leisure and TicketPro software training is considered an asset. Direct work experience in customer service, and cash handling transactions is required.
The successful candidate must possess an Intermediate First Aid Certificate with Level CPR-C. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 365 and the ability to work with a variety of people and multitask is essential.
The successful candidate will have a positive work attitude and possess exceptional interpersonal and attention to detail skills.
This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
Hours of Work : Varying weekday morning, evening and weekend shifts based on operational need.
