Position : Healthcare Compliance SpecialistLocation : Markham, ON - Hybrid (On-site full-time for first 2 months, then 3 days on-site ongoing)Salary : Up to $31 / hourStart Date : January 27, 2025Job Type : 1-year contract, with potential extension based on performance and business needsAbout the Role : We're seeking a highly organized and collaborative Healthcare Compliance Specialist to join our client's team on a 1-year contract.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Compliance, you will be pivotal in implementing and supporting compliance projects, developing training materials, and providing strategic guidance on compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities : Compliance Project Support : - Lead and support compliance projects, ensuring adherence to local, global, and industry standards.
- Provide direct support to cross-functional teams on high-priority projects, including internal audits and process updates.
- Drive automation of forms and workflows to improve agility and compliance across the organization.- Conduct routine and ad hoc compliance reviews, addressing issues as they arise.
Compliance Policies and Procedures : - Develop, update, and enforce country-specific compliance policies and procedures.- Maintain the compliance training matrix and monitor training completion.
Compliance Training and Monitoring Program : - Collaborate with the Commercial Business and Training Teams to deliver engaging compliance training.
- Communicate compliance updates, alerts, and developments across departments.- Execute the compliance monitoring program to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to standards.
- Identify gaps in current controls and implement solutions to address potential compliance risks.- Conduct ad hoc investigations into potential compliance concerns.
Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Science, Law, or related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.- Excellent communication skills, with experience in training and policy development.
