Location : Variouslocations across BritishColumbia

SpeechLanguagePathologists (SLPs) assess diagnose and treat communication andswallowing disorders. They work with individuals across the lifespan to enhance their ability to communicateeffectively.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Conductspeech language and swallowingassessments.
  • Developand implement individualized treatment plans based on assessmentresults.
  • Providetherapy to improve communication skills including speech clarityand languagecomprehension.
  • Educatepatients and caregivers about communication strategies andtechniques.
  • Documentpatient progress and modify treatment asnecessary.
  • Collaboratewith other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensivecare.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in SpeechLanguagePathology.
  • Certificateof Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA orequivalent.
  • Statelicensure as a speechlanguagepathologist.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
