SpeechLanguagePathologists (SLPs) assess diagnose and treat communication andswallowing disorders. They work with individuals across the lifespan to enhance their ability to communicateeffectively.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Conductspeech language and swallowingassessments.
- Developand implement individualized treatment plans based on assessmentresults.
- Providetherapy to improve communication skills including speech clarityand languagecomprehension.
- Educatepatients and caregivers about communication strategies andtechniques.
- Documentpatient progress and modify treatment asnecessary.
- Collaboratewith other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensivecare.
Requirements
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguagePathology.
- Certificateof Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA orequivalent.
- Statelicensure as a speechlanguagepathologist.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
