POSITION OVERVIEW :
USC Consulting Group is a forward moving consulting firm with a reputation of excellence since 1968 that partners with clients to provide greater value and competitiveness within their businesses.
We provide multiple skills and business techniques such as : systems solutions, process improvement, quality function deployment, continuous flow manufacturing and integrated supply chain management.
An Account Executive with our organization will lead all aspects of the sales cycle and will demonstrate proven closing skills and extensive experience selling intangible services through one-on-one presentations to C-level executives.
They must demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills, be driven to excellence, and motivated to be very successful.
Account Executives should have significant business experience at various levels of Senior Management with some having spent time in the C- Suite.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES :
- Generate $3,000,000 - $5,000,000 annually in new sales. Territory will include Northeast US and Eastern Canada. Additional industries and / or territories may be assigned at the discretion of management.
- Participate in extending existing relationships by $4,000,000 annually.
- Schedule one feasibility study per quarter.
- Participate in development of annual business plan.
- Participate in quarterly refresh of the business plan.
- Prospect, qualify and capture new business opportunities.
- Be prepared as requested or required to provide supplemental cold calling meeting setting.
- Develop, populate, and refresh call lists at a minimum once per quarter or as requested.
- Prepare agenda and message for conference calls, virtual, and face to face meetings.
- Develop and deliver a preliminary business plan.
- Participate in the feasibility study with a role on key meeting agendas.
- Participate in steering team meetings.
- Leverage plans.
- Contribute to system review and layout.
- Demonstrate competency and excellence at working with C-level executives.
- Articulate what support is needed (who) and why they need it for client meetings by partnering and coordinating with subject matter experts and senior business development executives to win and maintain business.
- Facilitate and expedite client requests ensuring they are complete.
- Develop strong client relationships by providing superior service and support.
- Staying up to date on business trends and issues related to the verticals.
- Responsible for addressing and resolving client issues as needed.
TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE :
Advanced computer skills : including MS Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, Go-To-Meeting, Zoom, CRM, and Microsoft Dynamics.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Knowledge of business process practices in a work environment
- Prior sales or business sourcing experience within the mining and metals industry
- Understanding of how technical and tactical elements of large ticket process improvement initiatives are sold.
- Understanding of related supply chain, product development and manufacturing operations.
- Effective written and oral communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work with all levels of an enterprise.
- Performance driven and self-motivated.
- Able to take direction.
- Adaptable to changing environments.
- Professional in appearance and conduct
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or related field.
- At least five years of related experience in prior consultative selling experience in negotiating strategic large dollar value, intangible sales.
This would include all phases of sales development : prospecting, proposal development, negotiation and account management
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of a company’s supply chain, process improvement, value stream mapping, and other contemporary consulting strategies.
- Must be self -motivated, hard-working, resourceful, and passionate, with the ability to manage time and determined to succeed in an environment which requires strong team-work and cross functional interaction.
- Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent communicator who can articulate a value proposition to a wide range of organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Contacts within various industries in the territory
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

The company provides excellent benefits and covers most of the cost for employees. Employees contribute a small percentage to medical and vision plans but the company fully covers the cost of a telemedicine plan, dental, life insurance, AD&D, STD, and LTD.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a home office environment with a computer and phone.
- The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
- The temperature of the work environment at the client's site may be extremely hot or cold.
- Travel to client sites by car or airplane is frequent, including overnight stays and occasionally, international travel.
