CDN Military Maintenance Planner (Calgary)
The Material Support Department is part of the Government Programs support of the DND CH146 fleet. The department is responsible for the administration of all repair and overhaul (R&O) activities of repairable Crown assets assigned to the use of, or by, the CH146.
This can also include work on complete aircraft. The responsibilities extend to all areas of direct support such as new spares procurement and Integrated Logistics Support.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Support the Senior R&O Analyst with component inductions that align with fleet demands and budget parameters.
- Create Malfunction Reports, based on unserviceable aeronautical products received.
- Maintain closed and Work in Progress files for functional efficiencies within R&O Department.
- Coordinate requirements with other departments (Commercial Spares, Accounting, and Commercial Warehouse.) as well as with other Bell Helicopter or Textron divisions, as required.
- Carrie out DND inventory management by facilitating SAP transfers for serviceable and unserviceable assets.
- Regular creation of work scopes and shipments for best value Vendors.
- Coordinate and / or participate in work scope creations and purchase order (PO) follow-ups with vendors for outstanding discrepancies.
- Assist the Material Support and Procurement Department in administrative functions as required.
- Liaison with DND staff and Technical Authority to understand and apply aircraft component and airframe configuration changes.
- Provide data queries and analysis for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Take part in continuous improvement projects as required.
- Action Vendor requests for updated records and / or paperwork.
- Assist R&O Senior Analyst in management of inventory while utilizing value added practices.
- Individual must learn, understand and apply departmental procedures, policies, regulations, behaviors, principles and terms and conditions advocated by Bell Helicopter Textron.
Textron Business Conduct Guidelines must be observed at all times.
Qualifications
Requirements
- AME / FAA / EASA Licence or equivalent aviation experience. (Preference given to rotorcraft experience)
- Minimum of 4 years of technical experience in a customer service organization (preferably aviation).
- Familiarity with SAP asset inventory management preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook).
- Proficient in English and has good written and verbal communication skills. French as a secondary language an asset.
- Always communicates and negotiates professionally with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Always shows good team spirit and cooperation to promote the success of the team.
- Maintains good relations with one’s peers and with those from other departments.
This position is NATO .Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (for purposes of security clearance)
