Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Installation Coordinator to join our team. This role involves planning resources, monitoring and supporting IMAX Theatre Systems installation operations.
The successful candidate will coordinate a global team of installation technicians, ensure timely project execution, optimize processes, and support innovation initiatives to drive our company’s growth and success.
What you’ll be doing
- Execute and support strategic innovation projects, contributing to the success of new product and technology deployments and R&D initiatives in the Giant Cinema Audio Visual industry
- Coordinate 26 installation contractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Monitor and report on on-site project activities for over 140 global cinema system installations annually.
- Track, resolve, and report on technical issues related to system installations, identifying and addressing trends and ongoing problems.
- Support the successful execution of system installations on time and within budget, focusing on reducing overtime costs and improving quality metrics.
- Plan resources, budgets, and schedules to meet project demands effectively.
- Develop and monitor training materials to promote high performance field operations
- Schedule IMAX installation technical support supervisors, including overseeing 24 / 7 coverage for weekend on-call duties.
- Provide support and assistance to department leaders as needed.
What we’re looking for
- Degree or diploma in Technology Operations, Project Management or related field preferred
- 3+ years of proven work experience as Operations Coordinator, Technology deployment supervisor or similar role in a fast-paced technology development environment including integration and deployment of automated systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical product requirements, schematics, architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering drawings is an asset
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills, with the ability to monitor and report on technical metrics effectively
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience coordinating technical operations staff and working with product engineers
- Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
