We are currently seeking a Data Support Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team in the Wealth Technology group at CI Wealth.
The Data and Analytics team supports the organization through data management, data governance, reporting, and business intelligence and insights.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting data operations and troubleshooting of data related issues (job errors and data discrepancies).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both operations support and data processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information from stakeholders promptly.
- Monitor daily data processes and provide necessary status reporting.
- Work with stakeholders across multiple teams to identify issues.
- Document and maintain the tracking of issues, provide updates to stakeholders, and escalate when necessary.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of issues and, when necessary, work with development and business teams towards a resolution.
- Assist in the testing of existing and new data management solutions.
- Document and maintain existing and new data operational processes flows.
- Identify areas for improvement throughout the data operational processes, and work with data analysts and engineers to implement these enhancements.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Experience
2+ years of work experience in systems support and data troubleshooting.
Education / Training
Post-secondary degree in a technical discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of SQL.
- Ability to perform data investigations via data queries.
- Knowledge and experience with the following tools : Issue tracking systems e.g., JIRA, TrelloLogging technologies e.g.
AWS CloudWatch, Log4jModelling e.g., MS Excel, MS VisioDatabase system e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SybaseCloud Technology e.
g., AWS, Microsoft Azure
- A strong analytical mindset and sophisticated written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry is an asset.
- Ability to work within an organization based upon continuous improvement.
