SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Department : Circle K Tech

Location : Suite 200-400 March Rd, Kanata ON, K2K 3H4

Type of employment : Permanent, Full Time (40 hours) in office

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director , within our Circle K Tech Inc. team, the Senior Software Developer will develop and maintain cloud applications, working with IOT (internet of things) devices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Excited to embark on a journey with us? Here is a breakdown of the key responsibilities in this role :

• User management, device management, analytics, and reporting
• Build on cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Comfortable with testing and analyzing data
• Work with REST APIs and Elastic
• Learn about secure coding styles and assess vulnerability threats
• Become familiar with fundamentals of Big Data
• Learn and contribute to our repository of foundation classes used in development of our core products
• Contribute to design, test and customer documentation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for :

Education

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Experience :

• 5 years’ experience working on small teams
• Experience with PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Full Stack (frontend, backend and networking)
• Experience with GitHub, Confluence and Jira considered an asset
• Experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) considered an asset
• End-to-end software development lifecycle experience (requirements, design, implementation,

testing and docs

Knowledge and skills :

• Comfortable developing on Linux and Windows
• Proven innovative approaches to projects
• Excellent analytical, abstract thinking and critical thinking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Ability to resolve problems with minimal direction
