Leads and oversees a team in Global Procurement Operations in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will :
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Applies knowledge of procurement best practice and general business practice to respond to inquiries related to Procurement Policy and Procedures, and other related policies.
- Leads their team to provide frontline support for all user requests and issues related to Procurement Technology (Icertis, SmartBuy, etc.).
- Monitors the ticket management systems to ensure timely support and resolution of tickets to drive adoption and compliance.
Provides guidelines and instructions to Sr. Analyst to ensure Operational Level Agreement targets are met.
Leads their team on interactions with stakeholders to handle Supplier Request and Supplier Data Management activities.
Including supplier cleanse activities, supplier name change, accuracy of parent / child relationships and completion of action plans in the procurement application.
Manages L3 and Escalation support tickets by performing root cause analysis of the issue, coordination of remediation activities between procurement applications, stakeholders and end users.
Tracks tickets to completion and escalates to Senior Manager or proposes solutions where necessary.
- Interacts with the technical support teams to facilitate ticket resolution where required.
- Provides timely access permission to Procurement Technology by following established procedures and guidelines.
- Leads, supervises and assigns Cross Functional Initiatives across the department. Participates in cross-functional initiatives in line with his / her development plan.
- Sets goals, objectives, KPIs, and assigns work to direct reports while providing them with guidance, coaching, and mentoring to execute on their development plans.
- Reviews, approves and follows Standard Operating Procedures documentation to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
- Reviews, approves, follows Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documentation to resolve common problems
- Reviews reports and monitors KPIs / performance and adherence to OLAs. Identifies insights and issues based on the reports and proposes recommendations.
- Designs, prepares, and oversees the distribution of reports that monitor Procurement Policy compliance and operational KPIs.
- Contributes to the framework for Procurement Policy non-compliance identification and resulting action plans.
- Operates the Bank's procurement technology solutions for : Consulting existing supplier / contract records / purchase orders / invoices to ensure accuracy of ticket resolution.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to procurement technology product managers. Oversees their team to establish, maintain, and recommend process improvements.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Assists in or leads the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Creates an environment in which his / her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his / her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have :
- College Diploma or University Degree in related field
- 4+ years of project management, business administration, business analysis, data analyst, business process improvement, operations lead experience related to procurement
