As the Training and Continuous Improvement Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all employees in the distribution center are fully trained and meet the training requirements.
You will manage training plans and write / revise training documents. Collaborate with distribution supervisors to identify opportunities for improvement and employee strengths.
You will analyze reports and trends to identify opportunities for improvement both internally and with our partners (customers and suppliers).
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement in the distribution center operations by doing analysis and benchmarking, assessing their feasibility and managing their implementation.
In this role, you will be the owner of the distribution's performance metrics and ensure their maintenance, analysis, publication and monitoring monthly.
You will supervise the work of the inventory controller and therefore be responsible for the control and measurement of inventory accuracy as well as all related tasks.
You may also act as a substitute supervisor of the distribution center in the absence of his colleagues.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Train new employees and handle ongoing training during process changes or improvements.
- Identify and communicate training needs of team members to distribution center supervisors.
- Manage and improve training plans for distribution and customer service employees in collaboration with the Technical Documentation Team, Distribution and Customer Service Managers while ensuring BPP standards are always met.
- Maintain up-to-date training documentation for all Distribution Center and Customer Service employees to be able to respond to requests during audits.
- Be a technical reference for employees - SAP super user for the Dorval site for the WMS module.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the distribution center, evaluate, implement and follow up
- Act as a change agent to facilitate the implementation of new equipment or processes.
- Create and update SOPs and work instructions.
- Provide logistical support to the various teams in the distribution department in the context of operational process changes.
- Perform benchmark analysis to discover and identify best practices, tools and processes that could be implemented in our distribution center.
- Conduct profitability / efficiency analysis as required.
- Respond to internal and external audits.
- Review customer requirements, ensure compliance and make changes to our operations as required.
- Supervises all activities related to inventory management : cycle counts, inventory accuracy, annual internal and sub-contractors’ inventory, warehouse and subcontractor’s storage capacity.
- Supervises the work of the inventory controller which includes monthly meeting, developing yearly MBO, yearly evaluation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly KPI results in collaboration with the distribution department supervisors and, as needed, establish action and follow-up plans to maintain or improve results and / or to highlight and encourage positive results where appropriate.
- Provide support to distribution supervisors for disciplinary and / or development plans and employee performance evaluations based on observed results.
- Collaborate with distribution center supervisors to foster employee empowerment and promote Pharmascience's values.
- Collaborate with distribution center supervisors to ensure a healthy, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Act as an alternate supervisor during distribution center supervisors' vacations / absences
- Actively participate in team activities
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities :
Bachelor degree in logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position or a supervisory position in a warehouse, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
