Overview of the role :

Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a passionate National Account Manager to partner with the Retail Sales team in Ontario.

The National Account Manager will work on the day to day account activities and requirements of the Walmart National Retail business, including Retail Cheese, Fluid Milk, Culture and Butter.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, show leadership and initiative, professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail which are all core Saputo Company values.

Salary : $88,325 - $115,930

How you will make contributions that matter :

  • Deliver account profit and volume targets by effectively managing Saputo’s current business
  • Support the development of the customer’s long-term business strategies in alignment with Saputo’s growth strategy
  • Prospect new business opportunities through new category development and new product initiatives
  • In conjunction with the senior sales management team, develop annual customer business plans and budgets :
  • Review weekly revenues and costs relative to budget
  • Actively manage net margin expectations and develop, implement and measure further action plans where necessary
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews and new product presentations to both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage all aspects of the National Account functions, including pricing and promotional plans, new product presentations, forecasting, trade spend management, debit notes, logistics, QA
  • Form excellent relationships at all levels in the customer’s organization and within the Saputo organization
  • Cover day-to-day issues that arise at customer level
  • Maintain a high degree of market and dairy industry knowledge

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications :

  • A degree / diploma in sales, marketing, business or equivalent education and training desired
  • 3 5 years in account management (preferably in grocery / retail sales channel). Walmart experience would be an asset
  • Strong track record of excellence in achieving sales and margin targets
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends, and financial reports to make informed decisions
  • Strong sales skills, including negotiation, closing deals, and upselling
  • Team oriented with a proven ability to build internal and external relationships by demonstrating well developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying information to both internal & external teams
  • Ability to organize priorities in a highly dynamic environment
  • Able to work with tight deadlines and multitask between high priority activities
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and the impact of technology on retail
