Unit Summary
The UKG Workforce Pro Implementation team crosses both HR Support Services as well as the Corporate Scheduling Office.
HR Support Services is made up of a team of HR professionals and innovators who contribute to the achievement of Hamilton Health Sciences’ (HHS) operational and strategic priorities.
HR Support Services is organized by streams (HR Payroll, HR Reporting, Compensation & Benefits, and HR & Payroll Solutions) to provide a wide range of HR services and programs for the HHS community.
The HR Support Services model and overall vision emphasizes a client focus, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
The Corporate Scheduling Office supports the scheduling, staffing, time and labour entry of all HHS employees. In collaboration with all programs and services, the staff of the Corporate Scheduling Office are accountable for : development, implementation and evaluation of staff schedules and day to day staffing needs of all employees of Hamilton Health Sciences.
The CSO will provide consistent, fiscally responsible schedules based upon scheduling best practices, utilizing Automated Scheduling, Time and Labour Entry software.
The CSO will ensure employees are scheduled appropriately and pay data is captured in accordance with established policies, procedures, collective agreement provisions and ESA
Position Summary
As a part of the Scheduling and Kronos Renewal corporate project, the Trainer, Workforce Pro Scheduling & Timekeeping will ensure success of UKG Pro WFM by delivering end-user education in both in-person and virtual classrooms.
This position will work with the change management lead, HR & Payroll Solutions Manager, and Corporate Manager, Scheduling & Workforce Deployment, and project team to deliver in depth training on the UKG Pro WFM content and classroom delivery.
In addition to providing training during the project go live, the Trainer will participate in providing implementation support for front line staff when UKG Pro WFM goes Live.
This will include providing additional training, updating documentation as changes occur during go live, and assisting with in person support to ensure success.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday Friday - 37.5 hours.
This position is temporary until June 2025.
Qualifications
- Community College degree or certification in Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge and skills related to the principles of adult learning
- Experience with Scheduling software (Kronos ESP / WTK preferred)
- Ability to understand the new ways of working within HHS
- Ability to explain what is changing in detail and the benefits of the Scheduling & Timekeeping project (and the overall program)
- Ability to explain rationale behind certain decisions
- Ability to communicate positive key messages
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Patience and flexibility to respond to learners’ needs, listen actively to effectively support the learners, and provide constructive feedback
- Experience using strategies to engage and involve trainees who display resistance and disruptive behavior
- Ability to create a non-threatening training environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
