Job Summary
The Project Planner, Scheduler will play a key role within the NAM Project Management Team, collaborating with stakeholders from Sales through to Commissioning.
This position will focus on creating and enhancing project planning practices, managing project schedules, and supporting complex projects to ensure effective and efficient resource utilization.
This role involves promoting a safe work culture, improving planning processes, and traveling as needed to customer sites and Company offices.
Essential Responsibilities
As the Project Planner, Scheduler, you will :
- Promote Safety : Foster a culture of safety within the project management team.
- Support Project Managers : Collaborate with Project Managers on complex projects, ensuring timelines are met and resources are utilized effectively.
- Coordinate Resource Utilization : Drive effective resource allocation by prioritizing and assigning tasks across the team.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Serve as a bridge between the PM team and other internal departments as necessary.
- Bid Phase Planning : Assist in developing preliminary plans during the bid phase for inclusion in customer proposals.
- Continuous Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance planning practices by learning from experience and sharing best practices.
- Travel : Travel to customer sites and Client offices as needed to support projects and facilitate team training and customer meetings.
Eligibility Requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning, preferably within Water and / or Industrial Construction projects.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills : Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Travel : Willingness and ability to travel across North America and internationally as required.
