Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Procurement Receiver / Administrator to join our team! This individual will report to the Procurement Manager and Deputy Commercial Manager and assist with in-field verification of materials, receiving accurately into the in-house database, investigating and alerting the appropriate people if there are discrepancies or concerns.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Site verification that materials and products have been received as specified in Purchase Orders and agreements, including quantity, specification, and received in good order
- Enter materials into in-house database and ensure that quantities, when reduced, are realistic; investigate discrepancies as required and provide reasons
- Coordinate and collaborate with construction team to verify and collect receiving notes
- Coordinate with vendors receiving and ensure Change Orders have sufficient funds to cover additional costs
- Review PO status and notify construction or Commercial if there are needs to top up POs by issuing Change Request
- Coordinate with AP for any clarifications, review and update Invoice Tracker (Excel)
- Reporting to Procurement Manager if there are interventions needed or supply chain concerns
- Compiling receiving record in JDE
- Coordinate with Contracts Administrator for notification of invoicing that needs to be undertaken or updated as necessary
- Coordinate with Buyer and Project Control to ensure Cost Codes are correct
- Participate in Team meetings when and as required
- Any additional tasks as assigned by your manager required to complete job
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
- Bachelors degree in Business (or equivalent) and typically 5+ years of experience in an administrative capacity (preferably in the assigned area of specialty)
- 3+ years of previous experience working in a trade or construction procurement role
- Contractor-side experience- ability to interact with people at all levels of the project in a professional manner
- Post-secondary education in the fields of construction, engineering, legal, quantity surveying, or business administration
- Ability to visit site as needed, and negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including all types of Edmonton weather, climbing stairs, working in a site trailer, and in a noisy environment
- Experience dealing with subtrades and contracts an asset
- Ability to read blue prints an asset
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems,
- Experience using JD Edwards and Aconex an asset
