Warehouse Manager (Consumer Goods)
Our client,a leading Consumer Goods Company , islooking to hire a Warehouse Manager in Brampton, Ontario ona Permanent, Full-Time basis.
Reportingto the VP Operations, The Warehouse Manager is responsible for providingleadership and direction to the warehouse team on warehouse management andorder fulfillment.
The Warehouse Manager will perform duties in a safe,productive and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with healthand environmental issues and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manages all activities of the warehouse including; standard operating procedures, inventory management through cycle count programs, maximizing warehouse layout, and scheduling preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for distribution of goods into and out of the warehouse including compliance to regulations
- Work with freight carriers to maximize effectiveness of delivery routes
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations as well as manage all warehouse inventory and records
- Maintain and operate an efficient, clean and organized warehouse
- Research and resolve discrepancies on orders, shipments and inventory
- Ensure that sales orders are picked, loaded, routed and shipped in a timely and accurate fashion
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations
- Contribute ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity
- Lead department staff including; scheduling, training and development, and performance reviews
- Warehouse budget management, and KPI reporting
- Ensures adherence to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Post-SecondaryEducation in the Logistics Field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant experience inWarehouse Management (preferably in a consumer goods environment)
- Proficiency with aWMS system and an ERP System
- IntermediateMicrosoft Office skills
- Valid driverslicense
Skills :
- Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Ability to lead and participate in a multi-functional, team-based environment
- Demonstrated analytical and planning skills
- Must be able to work independently and cope with conflicting demands in short time periods
