Our client, a large prominent firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is looking for a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join its team.
This is a full time permanent role.
In this role the successful candidate will work closely with two partners.
Responsibilities :
Assist with the preparation and completion of all necessary documentation for commercial real estate purchase, sale and mortgage transactions from beginning to end Prepare report books, statements of account and bank reports on title Knowledgeable in the administrative details of a large financing deal Handle blacklines, hand written edits and be an expert in comparing documents Assemble officer certification Handle off title enquiry letters and off-title enquiry charts Meticulously review all materials prepared for accuracy Handle daily administrative tasks including duties related to accounting, calendar management, meetings and tracking professional development hours
Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years’ previous real estate legal assistant experience Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications Familiar with Sharefile, experience with Teraview, Closing Folders and Docusign Flexible to work over time as required Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
