Position : Financial Analyst (for IT Planning) Location : Downtown Toronto (Hybrid) Job Type : Contract Duration : November 18, 2024 - February 18, 2025 (*dates subject to change and potential for extension) Overview : Our client is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to support their IT department's financial planning and reporting needs.
In this contract role, you'll play a key part in forecasting, cost tracking, requisition management, and vendor invoice processing.
The Financial Analyst's duties include, but are not limited to : - Tracking and reporting on forecasted costs, including variance explanations.
- Supporting the update and distribution of financial dashboards. - Producing regular and ad hoc financial reports. - Assisting with IT budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
- Creating purchase requisitions and processing invoices according to organizational policies. - Validating, reconciling, and receiving vendor invoices.
- Coding requisitions to the General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving issues related to purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
The ideal candidate will bring : - Experience working effectively within large, cross-functional teams. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in client-facing communication and internal collaboration. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and an ability to multitask. - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with Oracle.
